What is the return policy on climbing holds?
We gladly accept returns of unused climbing holds for a period of 30 days from your initial purchase. For all the details, please view our full Return Policy.

How many climbing holds should I purchase?
We recommend one climbing hold for every two square feet of climbing surface. For taller or advanced climbers, one hold for every three square feet is often sufficient. Start with what your budget affords; you can always add more in the future.

Is all necessary mounting hardware included?
For our residential customers, all climbing holds come with the necessary bolts or screws for standard (3/4" thick) indoor wall installation. If your wall is thicker or outdoors, select suitable bolts as an option under Hardware Options > Bolts before adding the holds to your shopping cart. Commercial climbing gyms and other wholesale customers do not receive hardware by default; but it is available at a discounted rate. T-Nuts and wrenches are sold separately unless specifically noted.

How many T-Nuts should I purchase?
We recommend between two and three per square foot of climbing surface. That is approximately 75 per standard 4' x 8' sheet of plywood.

Which holds should I get for my kids' climbing wall?
For children and beginning climbers, we recommend our Formula sets as well as any of our "Starter" sets.

My climbing wall is outdoors. Do I need special bolts?
If your climbing wall is exposed to the elements, we recommend using stainless steel bolts. You will need to select this option on the product page under Hardware Options > Bolts before adding the holds to your shopping cart.

Are the climbing holds weather resistant?
Absolutely! All of our climbing holds stand up to the toughest weather conditions very well. We don't use UV additives as they really don't make much difference in the longevity of the holds' color. If your climbing wall is exposed to the elements, we do recommend using stainless steel bolts.

My climbing wall is thicker than 3/4". Do I need special bolts?
For our residential customers, all climbing holds come with the necessary bolts or screws for standard (3/4" thick) plywood walls. If your wall is thicker, be sure to select the appropriate option from the product page under Hardware Options > Bolts before you add the holds to your shopping cart.

What do the climbing holds feel like?
Our climbing holds feel like medium grit sandpaper. We've tried many different textures and settled on our current one as it provides the best combination of "finger-friendliness" and durability.

What size holes do I drill for T-Nuts?
We recommend drilling holes with a 7/16" diameter. Be sure to drill the holes perfectly perpendicular to the climbing wall surface.

What pattern should I use when drilling T-Nut holes?

Back to Top What is a credit card security code / verification number and why do you need it?
This 3 or 4 digit number is a relatively new credit card security feature. Since this number is only printed on your credit card and never anywhere else, it proves to us that you are the card holder.

Will my credit card transaction be secure?
Yes. We use the highest security measures available to guarantee safe transactions. Rest assured your credit card and personal information will be secure.

Will you share my personal information with any other companies?
Absolutely not. We hate it when other companies do this to us, so we will never do it to you.

Has my order shipped?
Click the "My Account" link in the top right corner of our site to view orders you have placed. Then click the "Review orders / track packages" link to check your orders status.

How do I change quantities or cancel an item in my order?
Click the "My Account" link in the top right corner of our site to view orders you have placed. Then click the "Change quantities / cancel orders" link to find and edit your order. Please note that once an order has begun processing or has shipped, the order is no longer editable.

How do I track my order?
Click the "My Account" link in the top right corner of our site to view orders you have placed. Then click the "Review orders / track packages" link to view tracking information.

My order never arrived. What should I do?
Click the "My Account" link in the top right corner of our site to track your order status. Be sure that all of the items in your order have shipped already. If you order displays your Package Tracking Numbers, check with the shipper to confirm that your packages were delivered. If your packages each show a status of "delivered", please contact customer service for assistance.

An item is missing from my shipment. What should I do?
Click the "My Account" link in the top right corner of our site to track your order status. Be sure that all of the items in your order have shipped already. If you order displays your Package Tracking Numbers, check with the shipper to confirm that your packages were delivered. If your packages each show a status of "delivered", please contact customer service for assistance.

Back to Top How long does it normally take for orders to ship?
The majority of orders ship within two to three business days. Larger orders or custom requests may take additional time to complete. As soon as your order ships, you'll receive an email with package tracking information.

Do you ship to my country?
Please create an account by clicking the "My Account" link in the top right corner of our site. During signup we'll ask for your shipping address details including country. If your country is not in the dropdown menu of available countries, unfortunately we cannot ship to your country at this time.

What does shipping normally cost?
Shipping is automatically calculated prior to submitting your payment information. Simply add items to your cart and proceed to the Checkout page where you will be offered Shipping Method choices and their prices.

When will my credit card be charged?
Your credit card will be charged within 24 hours prior to shipment of your item(s).

I recently returned something. How long will it take for my credit to appear on my account?
Credits usually take 7-10 business days from the time we receive your item(s).

How do I reset my password?
Click the "My Account" link int the top right corner of our site. Under the password box you'll see a link that says "Forgot your password?". That link will take you to a page prompting you to enter your email address. Follow the prompts to reset your password via email. NOTE: Sometimes good emails get marked as spam. Please add sales@elementclimbing.com to your email address book or safe sender list to ensure our emails are not blocked. It may take a couple of minutes to receive the "Reset" email.
